The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render services into the community.
SASSA are going to be rendering providers such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency mentioned it can be alarmed with regard to the substantial number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the superior SRD variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“That is as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office devoted to service sassa status the area on a regular basis. The company stage made for intervention experiences a significant influx of potential beneficiaries, which makes it tough for the Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more assets to empower the servicing of all customers and improve use of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
